Endex.ai is a gen AI financial platform backed by OpenAI. Previously a Robertson Scholar at Duke University, Tarun dropped out after receiving backing from Peter Thiel to build Endex. After presenting research on advanced reasoning for complex financial tasks to the OpenAI research team, the company lab led a $14 million investment in Endex. Tarun believes that existing challenges in agent reliability—including long-horizon task trajectories, enhanced tool utilization, reasoning capabilities, and extended context handling—will significantly improve over the coming year. He strongly believes that within a few years, it will become commonplace for firms to employ dedicated teams of AI financial analysts who work seamlessly alongside finance.
